The DI-WiFi is a smart industrial gateway that reads data from remote devices or sensors and connects to a local network to deliver that data in real-time. Our embedded software platform allows for multi-protocol support and data normalization. An onboard custom-scripting language and database enable advanced calculations and decision making, all before you ever connect to your network.

The DI-WiFi supports wireless communications using the WIFI 802.11 a/b/g/n standard up to 54 Mbps, allowing you to communicate with additional gateways or industrial networks. This is the perfect solution to reduce cabling costs or automate areas where is not possible to use wired communication like in mobile platforms.

The DI-WiFi allows the user to program small scripts, making it easy to implement control logic dependent on the state of the communications with other devices trough any of the supported communication protocols. It is even possible to program proprietary protocols using our scripting language.

In addition, it’s possible to communicating multiple protocols using only one gateway. You can communicate devices using any of: Modbus RTU (Master or Slave), Modbus TCP/IP (using single or multiple clients/servers), or EtherNet/IP. All these protocols are available in a unique gateway with a unique part number, easing your procurement and spare parts inventory.

The advanced communication and scripting capabilities of the DI-WiFi allows you to map or scale data registers in any way you require them. This allows you to create normalized interfaces so you can convert the data mapping of any device to a standard data format that is transferred to a SCADA system or PLC. This way you make great savings in SCADA or PLC configuration by using always the same predefined communication templates.

In some situations it is required to be able to make advanced calculation algorithms like AGA3 or AGA8, for example for flow control, without the need of using an expensive flow computer. In these kind of situations the DI-WiFi can operate as a math coprocessor for your PLC by executing these or other type of calculations programmed using our scripting language.
